The
LUEE-ELVIS board was designed by Lamar University Electrical Engineering to
be a more affordable alternative to the prototyping board that is sold by
National Instruments to be used with their Educational Laboratory Virtual
Instrument System (ELVIS®).
LUEE
students purchase the board for use in ELEN1200 Introduction
to Electrical Engineering, ELEN2107 Circuits
Laboratory and ELEN3108 Electronics Laboratory.
The board may also be used for prototyping in ELEN4206/4207
Senior Projects. Although ELEN3431 Logical Design
of Switching Systems does not use the ELVIS system, the board may be
used for the lab portion of the course as a breadboard.
The
LUEE-ELVIS board has elevated label panels on either side of the signal access
proto-blocks that clearly identify the signal connections to the ELVIS console.
