What do we mean by "No Legos"?

We do not mean that we don't like Legos, or that playing with Legos is a bad thing. What we mean is that our robots and robotic devices are made from scratch, in other words, they are engineered. One can argue that using Legos to build a robot is engineering and we cannot dispute that--in fact, we encourage it as an easy and quick way to develop skills in construction, programming, and the use of sensors and actuators. You will see, however, as you browse deeper into our site that there are "No Legos" because all of our robots were designed and built by our student engineers, many of them just a few months away from being degreed electrical engineers, using prototyping techniques that involve devices and parts from many sources and vendors. If you have enjoyed building robots and other devices with Legos, then you are sure to enjoy taking your interest to the next level.

Our robots are truly unique creations and that is why our student teams have named them.

Below is a rogues gallery of them with their engineers.
