Trinity College Firefighting Robot Contest -- April 13, 2008

The Antipyros were First Place Senior Team in the Olympiad Exam. Squirt (the robot)placed 13th out of 26 qualified entries. Below is a picture of the team with their award:

IEEE Region 5 Conference Student Paper Competition -- April 19, 2008

Nelson Gaspard and Nicholas Cooper, senior electrical engineering majors, won 1st and 2nd place awards for the papers they submitted to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Region 5 East Area student paper contest. Other winners in their respective contests from the North, South and West Areas were students from Texas Tech, University of Oklahoma, University of Missouri – Rolla, TCU, and Trinity University. Gaspard and Cooper represented the East Area (Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas) at the Regional Student Paper Competition held at the 2008 IEEE Region 5 Technical, Professional and Student Conference in Kansas City.
