Mitchell Endowed Chair in Telecommunications
Harley
Myler obtained his Ph. D. and MSEE degrees from the New Mexico
State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. His research interests
are image and signal processing with
an emphasis on digital video quality analysis techniques. He
also has an interest in machine intelligence and information
processing as it pertains to telecommunications systems.

Wendell C. Bean, Professor
Wendell Bean received his Ph. D. degree from
the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as an engineer for
Westinghouse Company and as a consultant for Gulf State Utilities.
His fields of expertise are control systems and bioengineering.

Bernard J. Maxum, Professor
Bernard
Maxum obtained his Ph. D. from the University of California,
Berkeley. He worked as research project manager for both
Hughes and Rockwell companies developing aerospace systems.
His areas of expertise are sensor systems, fiber optic communications,
electro-optics, fields and waves, microwave, radar, and HF
ionospheric propagation phenomena.

G. N. Reddy, Associate Professor
G.
N. Reddy earned his Ph. D. degree from the Indian Institute
of Technology. He worked as a consultant for the U. S . Army.
His areas of expertise include applications of digital signal
processing and neural networks, CAD and VLSI design.

Ruhai
Wang obtained his Ph.D. from New Mexico State University
and joined the faculty in the summer of 2002. His research
interests are Computer Networks and Internetworking, Computer
Engineering and Microcomputers, and Telecommunication Systems.

Sayil, Assistant Professor
Selahattin
Sayil obtained his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and joined
the faculty in the summer of 2003. His research interests
are CMOS VLSI Design and Testing, Testability Techniques,
Interconnect Modeling, and Optical Interconnects.

Gleb V. Tcheslavski,
Visiting Assistant Professor
Gleb
Tcheslavski (chez-lav-ski) obtained his Ph.D. from Virginia
Polytechnic and State University (VPI) and joined the faculty
in the summer of 2007. His research interests are Digital
Signal Processing, Biomedical Signal and Image Processing,
Radar Simulation and SP, Statistical SP.

Hirano, Instructor
Koji
Hirano received his M.S. from Florida Institute of Technology
and joined the faculty in the fall of 2006. His research
interests are Image Processing, Software Engineering, Internet
Search Techniques, and Machine Intelligence.

Cristian
Bahrim, Assistant Professor (Physics)
Cristian
Bahrim was named a joint appointee in the EE Department in January
2005. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Universite Paris-Sud in 1997.
His main research interest is in atomic, molecular and optical physics:
atomic collisions and interactions, electron scattering by atoms,
photo-detachment of negative ions, atomic spectroscopy and optics.
Computational physics.
